Filtering Grid Results by Multiple Criteria

Sometimes the  Quick Search or even Advanced Search criteria available to you are still not enough to narrow down your search as far as you would like. Filters on Grid columns are often useful in those cases.

Every column header has a small funnel icon to the right of its heading text. Clicking on the funnel will show you a list of values you can select from, as well as Blanks, Non-Blanks, and Custom filters.

Using the Custom filter allows users to query data by multiple criteria, or use operators like Greater Than, Less Than, Starts With, etc.  Select the  Custom option, as shown in the example above.  Make sure to pay attention to whether you're using the Any condition or All condition.  NoteAny needs to satisfy both variables; All only needs to satisfy one.

Custom filters are designed for a one-time use and cannot be saved.  If a filter (or query) will be used over and over again, use the Advanced Search with the option of saving the query for future use.  Doing this will add the query to your LAMA tree.
