Processing a Web Request

From the Ribbon Bar select the View tab -> Requests -> Open Requests.

Below is a screenshot of LAMA’s Requests window.  The tree on the left contains prebuilt queries which enable the user to filter through the various requests for processing.  The table/grid shows data regarding web interactions.

When a New User request is received, LAMA will automatically assign it a processing number.

Click on the processing number to bring up the new user's account.

An email verification automatically goes out to the new user or applicant, and a record with the applicant’s information is created in LAMA.  A Contact entry will be created automatically in the program.  If you are the intake person, verify that the person’s account created does not have a duplicate record in LAMA.  If so, merge the two contacts.  (See Core Components for merging records.)

There are many types of requests coming through the public web all of which require a different path to process – new user registrations, permit applications, license registrations and renewals, code enforcement incidents, requests for inspections, general messages, document attachments, policy updates, etc.  All of these and many more are handled through the public web.  Each municipality will be different.
